About Me
JAMESON INTERIOR DESIGN
Hi, I’m Michelle.
I have always been interested in Interior Design and colour.
This started when I completed a short course on Interior Design with Pauline Baker. I loved it and learned much about how we relate to our surroundings – like how colour affects our moods and how it impacts individuals.
I continued to pursue courses whenever possible, which led me to complete my Diploma In Interior Design. I also completed many paint effects courses using chalk paint (a natural product) and started recycling pieces of furniture. I have run workshops ever since and consider myself a hands-on designer. I also run workshops on how to choose your style.
I concluded during my many courses that good design does not have to cost a fortune, nor does it have to be the latest trend which is hugely market driven.
One of my deepest beliefs is cost-effectiveness, and individual taste is essential. Surrounding ourselves with things that make us feel good.
I have also worked within the paint industry and gained much knowledge about the manufacturing and pigmentation processes. The paint industry is highly competitive. Each company believes its product is unique. This is where I can advise on the many products out there.
With so many choices and varieties in design, renovating can overwhelm many people.
This is where I step in.
Whether a simple paint or colour choice for your home or a complete interior fit-out. I do all the sourcing and gather all the samples for each client. I do all the sampling and drawdowns myself when possible.
Good design is about being creative, having a vision and an overall plan.
